Removing Stubborn Stains
If you wish to remove a stubborn stain, then you do not need to worry. Because all the required ingredients are in your house already. Here is a list to help you:
- Washing powder
All you have to do is take water in a bucket (around 2 liters). Bring the water to a boil. Squeeze in this water lemon juice equivalent to that of three lemons. Also, add a tablespoon of salt and ¼ cup of washing powder. You will add the ingredients in the water after removing it from the stove. Soak your stained white clothes in this water for about forty minutes. After that rinse it twice or thrice with clean water.
You can also use the same recipe to get rid of sweat stains on the collar or armpit areas.
Make the White Whiter
You might often see your white clothes losing the whiteness. The dresses or shirts start taking an off-white tone that is not that pleasant to the eyes. If your white clothes have been a victim of this, then there is an easy hack for you to make your white whiter.
All you have to do is pour a tablespoon of baking soda on your shirt. Next, cut a lemon and rub it on the shirt. Alternatively, you can squeeze the lemon juice on the shirt/dress. Leave the shirt for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
You can even use this trick if there is a stain on your dress. However, people commonly use this method to get rid of the yellow sweat stains on the armpit areas.
Slice 2-3 lemons and after doing so add them to a tub of boiled water. Once done, you should put your white clothes in that bowl of lemon water. Let the clothes soak in this water for about forty minutes. After that, wash your clothes in the washing machine as usual. The advantage of lemon is that it makes for a great all-purpose bleach for your clothes. Moreover, it does not destroy the clothes either.

In case you are planning to wash your stained delicate white clothes, then you should use these ingredients:
- Washing powder
- Hydrogen peroxide
Take ¼ cup of washing powder. Mix it with equal parts hydrogen peroxide. Add this mixture to two quarts of warm water. Once done, soak your delicate clothes in this water with the mixture for around thirty minutes. Rinse your clothes as you do with water after keeping them soaked in this mixture.
However, make sure to choose a good quality detergent. This recipe is best for your wool and delicate fabrics.
The word intense should not scare you. You would need the following ingredients to give your clothes an intense washing:
